My first visit to Austria was limited to the greater vicinity of Vienna. During my stay I witnessed a city packed with architectural marvels and a very romantic atmosphere. Austria was a very wealthy country and the cultural inheritence from the Austro-Hungarian empire was enormous. One can clearly see this effect while visiting other European capitals and coutnries as the Czech republic and Prague, Croatia, Venice Italy and Hungary. Austria is also the home of one of the most important art movements: The Vienna Secession. Some of my favourite painters' artworks can be savoured while one is in Vienna visiting its multiple art galleries and exhibitions: Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Hermann Hesse.
