Trading is another classic betting strategy. Although it can be done in many ways, the most common tactic to follow in this bet-strategy, is to bet on a game you know there will be scoring and your initial bet is to lay the draw. Avoid at all costs games that will end in a white tie (aka 0-0 you will see why).
Lets say we begin a game with the following ratios:
The first thing we do is to play lets say 120$ against the DRAW at 3.4 ratio. When we LAY the draw we are essentially betting that this event will not happen. Mathematically this is like betting for TEAM A or TEAM B to win. Furthermore to calculate the return of a Lay we simply divide the Draw with the Draw-1 so: (3.4/3.4-1)=(3.4/2.4)=1.42 or 42%. So the projected revenue is 120$ x 1.42 = 170$ and projected profit is 50$. In some betting platforms like 'Betfair' when playing a LAY you place the amount you wish to win and the computer calculates how much you need to bet i.e. by placing 50$ on LAY the draw you are going to be charged 2.4x50=120$ if you lose and if you win you will get 3.4x50=170$. The difference is 50$.
We are expecting the game to have a score so let's say Team A scores at 50 min and the betting table looks like this:
We have already played against the DRAW (lay) now we immediately play the DRAW. Lets remember our income was 50$ for TEAM A -120$ FOR DRAW and 50$ for TEAM B. Now we play lets say 33$ on the the DRAW at 4.1. Our projected profits is the following: (50$-33$)17$ for TEAM A (135$-120$) 15$ for DRAW and (50$-33$) 17$ for TEAM B.
As you can realize we are making a profit in every scenario! This is called trading and can make a handsome profit over time with experienced players. The great drawbacks are:
a. you must be over your PC or have an automated software package to immediately play the draw when a goal is scored. b. if the game ends in a white draw (0 - 0) you will lose your money!
